Theological Faculty awards honorary doctorate to His All Holiness Archbishop of Constantinople New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomaios I
On May 11th 2004 honorary doctorate (DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA) of the Theological Faculty in Belgrade was awarded to His All Holiness Archbishop of Constantinople New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch BARTHOLOMAIOS I who, being the guest of the Serbian Orthodox Church, attended her Central Celebration of the Bicentennial of the First Serbian Uprising. The award giving ceremony, conducted at the Theological Faculty’s grand amphitheatre, was attended by His Holiness Archbishop of Pech, Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovtsy, and Patriarch of Serbia PAVLE together with numerous bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, dignitaries of the Roman Catholic church in Belgrade, high representatives of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade, as well as by numerous deans and professors of various faculties of the University of Belgrade together with professors and students of the Theological Faculty.
