Fourth Annual Symposium “Serbian Theology Today”

On Friday, May 25th 2012, Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University in Belgrade hosted the Fourth Annual Symposium “Serbian Theology Today”, organized by the Institute for Theological Research at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology.

The symposium was opened by professor Radovan Bigović, Th.D., sub-dean of the Faculty, who thanked the organizers, primarily the founder and the Institute director professor Bogoljub Šijaković, PhD., sub-dean of the Faculty and the State Secretary at the Serbian Government Ministry of Religion and Diaspora.

Introductory lecture was delivered by Kyr Maksim Vasiljević, Th.D., the Right Reverend Bishop of the Western American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, on the subject of “The Event of Christ’s Resurrection as the Main Hermeneutical Context for Each Epoch”. Introductory session moderator, assistant lecturer Vladan Tatalović, Th.M., introduced other speakers and issued guidelines in connection to the further course of the symposium.
